    A true ‘tincture’ is an herbal extract suspended in high proof ethyl alcohol, as opposed to an oil blend. CBD Oils that are designed to be consumed orally are sometimes called tinctures in a common use vernacular. We have chosen to call our products intended to be consumed orally a tincture, but it is technically a blended hemp extract oil product.

    The process of creating a true CBD tincture typically involves soaking cannabis or other herbs in ethyl alcohol and slowly heating the mixture. This infuses the alcohol with herb extracts, CBD and other cannabinoids. The alcohol extraction method and the tincture product involve Ethanol and the true tincture product is an alcohol drink. We do not brew alcohol at Kicking Mule Hemp, but we do blend a mean hemp extract oil product. We may call our oil a tincture, please forgive us.

  • Our CBD and cannabinoid components are sourced from Oregon and Washington organically grown US Federally compliant hemp (Not Marijuana), with natural variations between each plant, each season, and each crop. We guarantee our CBD and other cannabinoids are free of contaminants by insisting that our hemp sourced components are third party tested by a laboratory certified and experienced with Washington’s stringent consumer cannabinoid (Marijuana) standards.

The short answer is that Idaho and Iowa prohibit any THC to be possessed or consumed. Other States allow hemp sourced THC in small amounts not to exceed 0.3%, consistent with US Law pertaining to interstate commerce. Kicking Mule Hemp makes THC Free oil products that comply with strictest THC standards and enforcement but include other minor cannabinoids for your benefit.     The White lettered THC Free products are appropriate for pets and people who are subject of drug testing as a condition of employment or court order, or people in states that do not allow any possession or consumption of THC.

  • Yes or No, It is your Choice!

    Kicking Mule Hemp manufactures hemp sourced CBD oils that are either Full Spectrum Distillate (THC Included, legal in interstate commerce) or Broad Spectrum Distillate (THC Free, legal in all 50 States and Territories). You may decide which type of CBD product would be most effective for your needs. THC is not psychoactive for most people in the small concentrations included in some of our our products.

    Most authorities on CBD use would state that small amounts of minor cannabinoids including THC has beneficial and synergistic effects. So a small amount of THC can be good for you, except if you live in a state which prohibits any THC (Idaho & Iowa), or your condition of employment or court order prohibits any THC use, or your a pet, or there could be many other good reasons not to consume any THC. We make THC Free products for you.

    Why is there THC in my CBD? Hemp plants are low in THC, but high in CBD and other minor cannabinoids. When the Hemp crude oil is extracted from Hemp biomass, the hemp crude is going to have some THC included. When hemp crude is refined and “winterized”, the THC levels usually are concentrated as well as all other cannabinoids. When further refined by Distillation, the THC levels are again concentrated as well as all other cannabinoids. If the product is going to be THC Free, then the process requires the THC to be deleted. The THC delete process is a laboratory process designed to extract THC but leave intact all other desirable cannabinoids. The product of this process is Broad Spectrum Distillate (THC Free) and the process is expensive and the cost is approximately 3 times that of Full Spectrum Distillate (THC Included).

    When manufacturing any CBD product for North American distribution, the manufacturer must ensure that the THC level does not exceed 0.3% so that the product is legal in interstate commerce. For THC Free products, this is easy, we only use Broad Spectrum Distillate (THC Free) and Isolate. For the products that we want to share some of the THC goodness for best result, the process always includes a combination of Full Spectrum Distillate (THC Included), Broad Spectrum Distillate (THC Free), CBD Isolate and an exacting math problem to portion each CBD component exactly to pass our self imposed 3rd party certified laboratory testing. The test is pass / fail. Either it is correct, or it is reworked until it is.     All Kicking Mule Hemp oil products are made with hemp sourced Distillate and Isolate blends. We strongly believe that minor cannabinoids provided by Distillates provide better effect than CBD isolate alone. So we use significantly more expensive Distillates, blended with Isolates for a specific effect, to manufacture our CBD Oils.

  • Pasteurized Products for Safety

    Our highest priority is to maintain the integrity of our products for your safety and peace of mind. We do not use any preservatives in our products, other than natural ingredients. The Kicking Mule manufacturing process includes autoclave or alcohol sanitized equipment and product pasteurization of tincture, oils and topical products to prevent biological contamination. Product pasteurization is accomplished while manufacturing the CBD products by application of precisely controlled heat (above 155F / 68C) used to mix and blend components without oxidizing sometimes delicate components. Pasteurization of products ensures that all known pathogens are eliminated.

  • Yes if THC is Deleted

    Kicking Mule Hemp manufactures at least two CBD oil products that are good for your pets with significant Broad Spectrum minor cannabinoids and that are THC Free. The CBD products are in oil format and animals should either crave the hemp flavored oil or at least tolerate it. The products recommended for animals are the same as our Broad Spectrum THC Free products designed for human consumption with no difference in quality or specifications.

    Kicking Mule Hemp makes THC deleted products designed for either animals or people that may not consume any THC as a matter of law, condition of employment or court order. Our THC Free products are color coded with white lettering on the front of the label to signify the product is THC Free. Products that contain THC are color coded with Green or Red lettering to signify the presence of THC and/or CBN, and there is a written warning on the label that details the inclusion of THC or CBN. You may assure yourself that the product is THC Free by reading the label which will either declare that the product is THC Free, or has included warning that it does contain a small amount of THC

    Warning: THC can cause toxicity and even death in dogs when given at prescribed human dosages. We have included a link of the American Kennel Club advice on health for dogs. They strongly suggest that you consult your Veterinarian before administering CBD.

If you see that the tracking status reads as "delivered", but you haven't received it, be sure to check with your neighbors or other members of your household. The package may have been delivered to a secure location if you were not available at the time of delivery. If you still can't locate it, send us a note via email, we’d be happy to help.

  • There is an option

    All products will be shipped US Postal Service (USPS) First Class if one or two products. USPS Ground if heavier, in a crush resistant box with tracking, unless special handling is specified. The cost for Shipping is a flat $8 for all products, one, two or many. If the product value for your order exceeds $140, then your shipping will be free. This should semi automatically happen at checkout.

Kicking Mule Hemp offers a 20% discount for subscriptions that semi automatically re-order the same products monthly. The subscription discount requires a valid credit card kept on file and agreement to receive products each month. Free Shipping is available if subscription exceeds $140 product value / month.

    Where can I cancel my subscription?

    You can cancel your subscription through your profile. Once you log into your profile, identify the product you are subscribed to and select Cancel.   • Unfortunately, there are times you cannot return your product - we do not accept nearly empty containers for a refund, for example.

    Any defective product or product that you have tried but does not give you a great experience, however, we will accept a return with written reason and issue a full refund within 30 days.
