CBD that is THC free may have a good effect on animals such as dogs, cats and horses for managing some health conditions and relieving symptoms that include pain, anxiety inflammation and behavioral issues.

Start with a low dose to ensure no allergic or adverse reactions, then work up to 2 mg CBD per kilogram of your pet's weight. For example, a 30-pound dog would need about 27-28 mg of CBD twice a day. Kicking Mule Hemp 5K CBD Oil, with 8.33 mg per drop, would require 3-4 drops per dose, lasting around 75 days per bottle for a 30-pound dog. For a horse weighing 1200 pounds, a dose of 1095 mg CBD would need about 66 drops of Kicking Mule 10K oil, costing around $9 per dose. Consistent dosing is key, whether for situational use or daily health maintenance, and can be administered on food or treats.

The caveat is that you should always consult with your Veterinarian as to the efficacy of CBD for your pet.  Be advised that the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) will not allow any claims that any hemp sourced CBD product has been subject to FDA evaluation ( Hemp sourced CBD products have not been FDA evaluated) and therefore no claims may be made that a CBD product is intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.  Nor may a hemp sourced CBD product be advertised as a dietary supplement. 

Now that you know that CBD can be good for your pets and you are aware of the obligatory warnings, we have some reading below and opportunity to purchase THC free CBD products that may be perfect for your pet.
